Historical Dance

We enjoy sharing our expertise through the medium of historical social dance to help educate in an entertaining, participative and enjoyable way. A comment from an audience member summed up our approach: "I was having so much fun, I didn't realize how much I was learning." As skilled communicators with children and adults of all levels, we have a reputation for putting people at ease. We have successfully made social dance accessible to thousands of students, of all ages and abilities, including disabled children, and adults in wheelchairs. We lead by encouragement, creating a positive, open and nurturing atmosphere so that the participants' creativities can grow and blossom. From the early Renaissance to present day, our programs develop students' self-confidence, encourage good manners, respect for dance partner and self, improve posture and deportment, and increase body and spatial awareness.
